Lisa Williamson (cohort ’15)

• Group Exhibition: Art/Race/Violence: A Collaborative Response at Crosstown Arts from Oct-Jan. 2018. The show was curated by Richard Lou and Dr. Ernestine Jenkins.
• Panel Discussion: Critical discourse involving our specific body of work in the exhibition Art/Race/Violence: A Collaborative Response in conversation with groups including Black Lives Matter and the Lynching Sites Project. Currently, the show is being deconstructed by a writer whose intent is to publish what we collectively deemed a successful collaboration addressing delicate relationships and subject matter. The writing will serve as an example of a blueprint for collaborative methodology.

Charlie Arnold

• Paper: “Gone in a Flash, the camera as a tool for making graffiti” at the PhotoHistory/PhotoFuture Conference at The Rochester Institute of Technology. April, 2018.
• Appointed to the position of Lead Researcher and Archivist for the Estate of Michael Brewster, where with a small team he is compiling, archiving, and preparing the late sonic artist’s catalogue raisonné and an article on Brewster for publication later this summer. Brewster was a sonic artist active between 1970-2016. His work is in the Guggenheim as well as the Panza Collection in Milan, Italy.

Conny Bogaard

• Paper: “Toward a Theory of Optimism” at the Beverly salon in September 2018. Her article, “The Future Imperfect” will be published in the upcoming annual journal of the Beverly salon, Beverly Philosophy Journal. Vol 1. (Title to come).

Heather E. Dunn

• Chapter included in the forthcoming book, Social Practice Art in Turbulent Times: The Revolution Will Be Live. This book will be part of the Routledge Research in Art and Politics series, to be published in 2019. Dunn’s chapter entitled, “Street Art, Political Activism, and Surveillance” looks at international, anonymous street artists who promote their artivist work through social media.
